Human Habitat Project
Research Questions: Human Habitat Project
1. Who were the first people to live in the habitat you have chosen to research?
2. Who “discovered” the habitat? Name the explorer that put your location “on the map”. What year was the habitat “discovered” by that explorer?
3. What kinds of tools do humans use to survive in this environment? (Ex. weapons, farming equipment etc.)
4. What kind of diet do the people have in this habitat and how do they access their food? (Ex. hunting, fishing, going to the grocery store etc.).
5. How does this habitat support human life? What are the natural resources that help humans survive there?
6. Have people respected their environment in the history of this habitat? How? If not, why?
7. Do humans depend on each other to survive or are they able to survive independently? Describe their daily interactions with other humans (in general).
8. How have humans changed this environment? (You can link this to question 6).
9. What kind of government does your habitat have? (Ex. a democracy like Canada or a dictatorship like Nazi Germany?). Do you think this government is run fairly? Why or why not?
10. How does this habitat compare to yours in Nova Scotia? What are the similarities and differences between your habitat and this one?
Be Creative! Good Luck! :)
